Stranded Colorwork Cozy
Give Stranded colorwork a try without fear and make a cup or mug cozy. You can make a simple version, or you can press your boundries and make a cozy that you can steek in our Steeking Taste Test class. The pre-class homework includes instructions options for both the steeked and non-steeked options. The example shown in the photo is the steeked version. Consider signing up for the Steek class to try out cutting, steeking, and making button bands on your cozy.
This is a one time class for intermediate knitters or adventurous beginners . You must be able to knit, purl, and knit in the round. You must complete the pre-class homework before you come to class.
This is an in person class. Enrollment is limited to 6 people. At this time, masks will be required in classes and lessons due to seating arrangements and close interactions when demonstrating skills. Due to the nature of an in-store class and space limitations, social distancing may be a challenge. Your instructor and shop staff will be fully vaccinated.

Skills Required to take the class: Students are expected to be able to complete the pre-class homework unassisted. The homework includes knitting in the round, knit, purl. Students may use double pointed needles (7″, 8″ or 9″), 2 circulars, or magic loop at their discretion.
At least 2 colors Worsted weight wool. Go for grabby non-superwash 100% wool or sticky wool blends. You will need about 25 grams total of yarn. Use scraps if you have them. Mix and match colors as much as you want. Avoid superwash. Avoid smooth and slippery fiber blends.
22 sts x 28 rows = 4″ x 4 ” in stockinette colorwork knitted in the round.
US 7 DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge. Use DPNs or your preferred method for knitting a small 7″ to 9″circumference in the round.
Finished Cozy Size: S (L) fits 9″-9.5″ (10″-10.5″) cup/mugs
